• Film Commission

Since its creation in May 2016, The public Film Commission of the Principality of Asturias has collaborated in shooting many film, television and advertisement productions with the aim of promoting and reinforcing the region as a scene for filming, encouraging both the Principality´s cinematographic tourism and culture, and the Asturian audio-visual industry.

This is the case, among many others, for the Spanish film El Secreto de Marrowbone, debut feature by Asturian filmmaker Sergio G. Sánchez; the first feature film from Asturian Samu Fuentes, Bajo la piel de lobo; La Zona, an exclusive Movistar+ series created by brothers Alberto and Jorge Sánchez-Cabezudo; MAUS, the first film by director Yayo Herrero from Oviedo; Aquilo que arde from the acclaimed filmmaker Oliver Laxe; Si yo fuera rico, directed by Álvaro Fernández Armero, or La Influencia, a reporting job by Denis Rovira. Similarly, the Film Commission and the Asturian Tourist Board have collaborated with the documentaries Cantábrico. El dominios del oso pardo by Joaquín Gutiérrez Acha and 100 días de soledad by José Díaz, for which different broadcasting and promotion support was provided.
